Responsibilities for Director of Sales:
Develop an annual Sales Plan to include team and individual quotas for sales to both new and existing customers
Provide regular progress updates on the success of the Sales Plan
Establish both annual and quarterly compensation plans for Account Executives based on the Sales Plan objectives
Manage sales staff including hiring, performance management, training and development
Identify target markets and customer strategies in coordination with the President and Senior Management Team
Participate directly in development of key accounts, including meeting with current and potential customers, identifying key business needs, and evaluating and explaining the ROI that the appropriate Siteworx solution will deliver
Leverage existing business contacts to increase the customer base adopting Siteworx solutions
Assume responsibility for closing leads generated by Marketing efforts such as webinars, email blasts, trade show referrals and telemarketing, and provide regular detailed pipeline status reports
Reports directly to the President of Siteworx
Supervises the Sales team
Experience needed for Director of Sales position:
Education: BS/BA in business or related field. Masters degree a plus.
Experience: 10-15 years industry experience; 5 – 8 years experience selling professional services and/ or software, preferably in a web-focused context. Experience managing sales teams and developing/ executing tactical sales plans with revenue targets for new business in excess of $10M annually.
Highly organized with very effective time management skills
Strong computer skills including sales database tracking programs
Strong negotiating skills and capacity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong listening skills
Excellent customer focus
Strong leadership qualities both with customers and employees
Ability to set and enforce policies while maintaining a facility for negotiating internally as specific customer conditions may warrant
Thorough knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
Ability to travel up to approximately 25%
