Position: Senior Staff Assistant

We seek a dynamic and dedicated individual to work as a Senior Staff Assistant in the Strategic Communications Department. This person will be responsible for performing general office functions for the Vice President, Strategic Communications; coordinating and scheduling appointments and conference calls; and coordinating meeting logistics and projects to accomplish the objectives of the department. This person will also serve as the initial point of departmental contact for the media, NWF members and the general public; assist the department staff in media and marketing projects; manage the logistics and drafting of written materials for NWF's conservation awards; and manage the department's budget and its contracts.
Qualified candidates must have:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years administrative experience (preferable in a public relations/public affairs or media environment).
• Database management expertise required.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and extremely strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Substantial experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be highly organized and able to maintain order in a rapidly changing environment.
