IT Consulting company has urgent need for a Senior Unix Administrator and offers competitive salary & benefits, high profile position and business casual environment. Responsibilities will include technical support, developing executing programs and working with upper management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years direct experience providing server (hardware and software)
- operations support for a network of 50 nodes or more.
- Supporting primarily Linux and/or Solaris servers.
- Experience with various directed attached, SAN and NAS storage technologies a
must.
- Linux scripted installs, Solaris 10 Zones and Jumpstart
- EMC, SAN, and NetApp experience a plus.
Ideal candidate will have 5 or more years experience, with strong knowledge of Unix, monitoring and infrastructure basics, as well as Symantec NetBackup, Veritas Cluster services (VCS) and VMware experience.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of network architecture for LAN and WAN network deployments. The position requires excellent communication and presentation skills with a good analytical approach to problem solving.
